Enjoy Every Trip In Your 2019 Ford Taurus

Look and feel good with the enhanced comfort and safety technology that come in the 2019 Taurus. The Taurus offers a host of available driver-assist technologies that make your drive more convenient, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert, Lane-Keeping System, active park assist and SYNC 3.

Adaptive Cruise Control

The available adaptive cruise control goes above conventional cruise control. It can sense when traffic is slowing down and will slow your vehicle down to match. When traffic clears, you’ll resume your preset speed. Available BLIS with cross-traffic alert warns you if a vehicle is in your blind spot or approaching you when reversing by up to 15 yards away. It will provide an audible warning and visual display in your side-view mirrors.

Lane-Keeping System

Available on the Taurus Limited SHO, the lane-keeping system helps to prevent drifting in your lane. It will warn you by creating a series of vibrations in your steering wheel if it detects unintentional lane departure. If you hate looking for parking spots while driving on a busy street, consider the active park assist option. Once activated, it will help you look for a parallel parking spot with ultrasonic sensors that measure the distance to the curb and between parked cars. If it finds an available option, it signals you to stop and accept. Once you shift into reverse, your Taurus will steer into the space while you control the brakes and accelerator.

Intelligent Access

Standard on all Taurus models is the torque vectoring control and curve control - two components of the AdvanceTrac electronic stability control. This smart feature uses the braking system to imitate the effect of a torque vectoring differential. When accelerating through angles, it applies braking to the front inside wheel allowing more engine torque to go to the outside wheel for better grip. On days when you’re going faster than usual, curve control will help to slow your vehicle when it senses accelerating around corners and help you maintain control.
